1/ Five-grain Khorasan sourdough – This sourdough loaf was a Gold Medal winner and Reserve Champion at the 2018 Scottish Bread Championships!

Khorasan is an ancient grain with a rich, nutty, buttery flavour. It is more nutritious than modern wheat and is high in protein, fibre, B vitamins and minerals, in particular manganese. Some people with an intolerance to modern wheat varieties have found they can digest products made with Khorasan flour more easily. This loaf is supplemented by a five grain blend of malted wheat flakes, barley flakes, sunflower seeds, millet and oats. (Medium loaf, £3.50)(Vegan, dairy-free)

2/ Wheat, spelt & rye sourdough – A sourdough combining these three classic grains. White wheat flour is combined with wholemeal spelt & wholemeal rye to provide all the goodness of whole grains. Extremely versatile, this works well for all occasions and is a great every day sourdough.

Please note that this loaf will be baked to a darker crust than the norm for Riddle-Me-Rye loaves for those folk who prefer a darker crust. (Medium loaf, £3.50)(Vegan, dairy free)

3/ Roasted sweet potato, rosemary & parmesan sourdough – This loaf contains chunks of roasted sweet potato as well as sweet potato mash in the dough itself. It is a beautifully balanced loaf with a real depth of flavour, buttery, aromatic and with a slight sweetness from the roasted sweet potato. After shaping it is dressed with sesame seeds which add a final nutty note to the overall flavour. (medium loaf £3.50)

4/ Sourdough Bialys – These delicious chewy baked savouries are a customer favourite at our popup stalls.  They make an excellent light lunch or savoury snack at any time of the day! They can be eaten cold and are also delicious served warm.

Bialys were originally made by Jewish bakers in Bialystok, Poland and consist of a round bread roll (not unlike a bagel), with a central pocket containing the filling which traditionally would be onion and poppy seeds.  We’ve taken the original concept for bialys and made a sourdough version with our own take on the fillings.

5/ Honeyed Spelt, Oat & Sultana scones  – made with 100% organic spelt flour (Vegetarian, £1.50 each)

  • Kimchi – This traditional kimchi is made with napa cabbage & gochugaru chilli – a live product full of gut-friendly bacteria. Keep it in the fridge and have it with everything! Great in sandwiches, or on the side of pretty much anything. (425g jar, £5)
  • Kimchi Hot Sauce – A smoky chilli sauce, blended with Aye Pickled’s kimchi. Aged to allow the flavour to develop and the good bacteria to multiply. Another one to keep in the fridge (250ml bottle, £4)

  • Bread & Butter pickles – wee cucumbers cured & pickled in a spice blend
  • Thai shallots – pickled with lemongrass & kaffir lime

Orkney Craft Vinegar

Both of these vinegars are fermented in small batches on Orkney and are probiotic live products.

The Bere Malt vinegar is made using Bere barley which is an ancient form of barley in use on Orkney for millennia. It is aged in oak barrels and has a deep malty, treacle-like flavour.  (250ml bottle, £8.50)

The Honey and Meadowsweet vinegar is made with pure honey & Orcadian spring water, infused with Meadowsweet. It is aged in chestnut barrels and has a light, delicate, floral/herbal flavour. (250ml bottle, £8.50)
