For this week’s pre-order service I’ll be baking the following:
Barley grain & ale sourdough – fast becoming a customer favourite! (medium loaf £2.75)
Walnut sourdough – this loaf is packed with walnuts and uses toasted walnut flour in the sourdough culture. Due to the cost of the walnuts it is an expensive loaf to make but has an outstanding flavour and goes exceptionally well with blue & other cheeses (medium loaf £3.50)
Plain white sourdough – a classic. (Medium loaf £2.50, large loaf £3.50)
For those folk who saw the scone sneak preview I can assure you that the scones this week are the best yet!
Gruyere, roasted shallot & thyme scones (wonderfully moist) £1 each
Cherry & almond scones (just like biting into a Bakewell slice!) £1 each.
Pre-orders by Thursday evening (25th Jan) for collection/delivery on Saturday (27th Jan). Collection from Riddle-Me-Rye HQ (Piershill Terrace) will be available in two slots between 10.30am-11am AND 3pm-4pm. Deliveries by arrangement between 11am and 3pm. Deliveries in the Edinburgh area are subject to £6 minimum order. Please note that I can’t give a precise time for deliveries due to the variable nature of the route and the fact that it is just me(!) so I do encourage people to collect where possible if time is a factor. Once all orders are placed I will share my delivery route & approximate timings.
All sourdough loaves made with organic flour from Mungoswells, Doves & Shipton Mill.
All loaves contain gluten
Walnut sourdough contains nuts & milk (butter)
All scones contain gluten, milk & eggs.
Cherry & almond scones also contain nuts.
