1/ Ancient Grain sourdough*Sold out* This new loaf is made using a blend of  Barony Mill Orkney Beremeal, freshly milled Khorasan, Spelt, Emmer and Einkorn,  in addition to the base flour we use in all of our loaves which is the fantastic local Mungoswells organic bread flour. Bere is an ancient form of barley which is unique to Orkney and has been grown and milled there for over 300 years. It is ground into a flour called Beremeal which can be used in baking. The dough also contains a blend of malted wheat flakes, barley flakes, sunflower seeds, millet and oats. Finally it has been given a coating of spelt and barley flakes. It has a really nutty, toasty flavour from all of the ancient grains and smells delicious! Fresh real bread! (Medium loaf, £3.50)(Vegan, dairy free)

2/ Wakelyn’s YQ sourdough –  *Sold out* This new sourdough loaf is made with  revolutionary “YQ” wheat. It’s milled from the YQ (Yield and Quality) wheat population bred at Wakelyns Agroforestry by the late Professor Martin Wolfe and the Organic Research Centre. The population is a crop of extraordinary diversity, that’s emerged over time from a wide range of carefully chosen parent varieties, leading to fields of millions of genetically distinct individual wheat plants rather than the usual genetically uniform monoculture crops. This makes a crop that is naturally disease and pest resistant which grows well without the addition of chemicals and pesticides. This loaf is 75% YQ flour & 25% strong bread flour which results in a bread with a soft creamy crumb, thin crispy crust and delicious complex flavours and aromas. Exactly what you want from slow real bread! 3/ Focaccia – Light bubbly traditional Italian bread made with biga (a portion of pre-fermented flour), focaccia is perfect for tearing, sharing and snacking. This week we will have the following varieties:

  • Cherry tomato (Vegan, dairy-free, £3.00/slice)
  • Caramelised onion & thyme (Vegan, dairy-free (£3.00/slice)
  • Olive & Rosemary (Vegan, dairy-free (£3.00/slice) (Pictured below)
  • Garlic & Rosemary  (Vegan, dairy-free (£2.50/slice)

Slices are approximately 6inch x 5inch in size.

Complete the order form below by 7pm Thursday (12th Dec) for collection on Sunday (15th Dec). Collection from Riddle-Me-Rye HQ (Piershill Terrace, EH8 7EY) will be available between 11am and 12.30pm only.
